I thought I would give you an update on Sophie who will be 4 months on November
6th. She is, as you know, an exquisite looking being. She is a show stopper.
She has been wonderful since I picked her up at the airport. She was sleeping
through the night within a week of her arrival. . . She is smart as a whip
. . . I had to go on a three day trip. I boarded her in a "non-traditional"
kennel: The guy who owns and runs it is a bird dog trainer. Well, when I
returned he confessed that he wants to be her trainer. He is so thrilled
with her current capabilities and her potential.
Then on the other hand, I have this beautiful, graceful being who sits, stays,
fetches, comes, albeit with a short attention span: that is "Miss Sophia
Brown". Then I have this most affectionate and truly loving being: this is
Sophie.
I bring her to work with me every day. The customers have fallen in love
with her. She is certainly being well socialized. Now they are even bringing
their dogs when they visit. Nothing like have a German Short Hair at a motorcycle
shop!
I will drop you notes as she develops. Thanks for a job well done. She brings
joy to my day, every day.

UPDATE: Sophie got her NAVHDA Natural Abilities Prize in the fall of 2002
We are so proud, and everyone at the test thought she was a DREAM! We're
so glad we decided to get her a "brother" from you this year!
